Asha Kanini requires several third party software including Acrobat reader to view PDF, VLC player to play audio and video files, powerpoint viewer etc. Some of the contents that come with Asha Kanini are also installed as separate software include GComprix, PhET, TuxMath, etc.

Note that with the initial installation, you will start with a minimal version of the contents. As you use various contents for the first time, it will get downloaded. So over time all the content you use (which is downloadable) will be stored locally.

What to do!
Here are the installation instructions:
- Step 1 : Download "Asha Kanini Installer.exe" from our website.
- Step 2 : Double-click the installer to run itt.
- Step 3 : If you see a "Windows protected your PC" warning, click More info then Click Run anyway.
(Note: This step is only needed if the warning appears. Otherwise, skip to the next step.) - Step 4 : Choose the installation option :
- Anyone who uses this computer (all users), or
- Only for me (your username),
then Click Next.
(Note: If you choose "All users" the system will ask for Admin permission. Click Next after giving permission.) - Step 5 : We recommend keeping the default installation folder. Just Click Install.
- Step 6 : Wait for the installation to finish.
- Step 7 : Make sure "Run Asha Kanini" is checked, then Click Finish.
Here are the downloading contents instructions:
- Step 0 : After Step 7, the Login window will appear.
(Note: You need a stable internet connection to log in and download content.) - Step 1 : Enter your login details and Click Sign in.
(Note: If you are not registered, Click ) - Step 2 : Select the Curriculum. The app will automatically choose a folder (Kanini Directory) to save the content. If you want, you can change it. Then Click Download.
(Note: We recommend choosing a drive with at least 100GB free space to download all content. For minimal installation, at least 10GB is required.). - Step 3 : Wait while the application downloads and imports the files.
- Step 4 : Click Finish and start exploring the application.
